Chinese Culture

With more than 5,000 years of history, China has a rich and profound culture. Chinese arts and crafts, including painting, calligraphy, operas, embroidery and silk are distinctive and unique. Culture of China is the oldest and most complex culture in the world. Chinese culture has a great influence worldwide. Chinese culture was created by the 56 ethnic groups in China. Although different ethnic groups have different habits and customs, they share Zhonghua Minzu as their common family. They all share some basic social values. Most of the social values are derived from Confucianism and Taoism. Mandarin is the offical language of China. Besides mandarin, different provinces even cities will have its own dielects and local langues.
Chinese Religions
The local major religions in China are Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Although most Chinese people don’t have a strong religious inclination, they do have deep faith in Confucianism and Taoism. Chinese Ethnic Groups
Chinais a muti-national country. There are 56 ethnic groups in the country. The largest population among them is Han Chinese, which accounts for 91.59%. The other 55 ethnic minorities are accounting for 8.41%. Major ethnic minorities are Zhuang Minority, Mongolian Minority, Hui Minority, Miao Minority, Dong Minority, Uygur Minority, Manchu Minority, Tibetan Minority and Yao Minority.
